Five Dollar Stimulus ProjectIn the December 7 issue of Style Weekly, there was an article under Street Talk titled: "Friendly Economy: The $5 Stimulus" which featured Phil Williams and Kevin Rothermel and their Five Dollar Stimulus Project. They will be giving away $500, one $5 dollar bill at a time to a lucky recipient who will be chosen daily from their Web site, fivedollarstimulus.com. To become said recipient you merely have to tell them what you would do with the $5.

During these difficult times, it's very easy to believe that $5 doesn't buy you a lot. So Dogtown Dance came up with some ideas of our own. We had a lot of fun doing this, but that fun bears no comparison to the fun you will have participating in the classes mentioned below and other various activities taking place at Dogtown Dance Theatre.

Dogtown Dance Theatre and its programs are operated by Dogtown Arts Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization. Dogtown Arts Foundation exists to cultivate, promote, foster, sponsor, develop, and encourage understanding of and public interest in the fields of theatre, dance and the arts.

If the Center Stage complex in downtown Richmond serves as a Broadway away from New York City, then Dogtown Dance Theatre promises an equally critical factor of a city’s creative health: a thriving Off-Broadway scene where independent artists and small companies can afford the time and space to create and present their work in a facility designed with them in mind.
